How It Works

No poker experience needed. No strategy required. Just show up, hit the stops, and see what the cards have in store for you.

Register & Check In

Sign up online, show up on July 18th, and grab your score sheet at check-in. Your poker adventure starts here.

Hit All 7 Stops

Make your way to each of the 7 participating Old Mandeville businesses in any order. At every stop, draw a card and get it stamped on your score sheet.

Best Hand Wins

Turn in your completed score sheet at the finish area. Best poker hand takes home $2,000. Stick around for the winner announcement and after party.

Old Mandeville's first ever Poker Run is here, and you don't want to miss it! For $40 you’ll get your first 7-card poker hand and access to all 7 stops across Old Mandeville. Make your way through some of the best local businesses on the Northshore, draw a card at each stop, and see if you've got what it takes to walk away with $2,000.

Stick around after — there's a DJ, live band, food, drinks, and good company until 9 PM. Whether you're here for the cards, the competition, or just a great day in Old Mandeville, this one's for everyone. All ages welcome.

Bonus: every registration includes free entry into the Strava running challenge with an $2,000 of running prizes up for grabs.

How it works: Segments are open from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM on July 18th. Your performance across all 7 segments determines your ranking, separately for men and women. Included free with your $30 registration. To be eligible for prizes, your Strava profile must be public and heart rate data must be visible on your activity. All decisions are final.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to visit all 7 stops to be eligible for prizes?+
Yes — you need a card from every stop and to qualify for prizes. A complete hand is 5 cards, and you will discard the 2 additional cards. Incomplete score sheets are not eligible.
Can I participate on a golf cart or bike?+
Absolutely. Golf carts, bikes, walking, running — any mode is welcome for the poker run portion. Just be mindful of other participants and follow traffic rules. Note: the Strava competition is running only.
What if I draw a duplicate card at a stop?+
If you draw a card you've already received, the duplicate is discarded and you draw again from the same deck until you receive a unique card.
What's the difference between red and blue decks?+
Each stop has two pre-shuffled decks — one red, one blue. When you check in, your score sheet is assigned a color and you draw from that deck at every stop. This keeps card distribution fair across all participants. If you purchase additional hands, each extra score sheet alternates color.
What happens if there's a tie for best hand?+
All tied participants draw from a freshly shuffled deck live in front of the crowd. High card wins. There will always be one winner.
Do I need a Strava account?+
Only if you want to compete in the running challenge. The poker run has no Strava requirement. If you do want to compete, your profile must be public and heart rate data must be visible on your race day activity.
Can I buy additional poker hands the day of?+
Yes — additional hands ($20 each) are available online during registration and at check-in on the day of the event while supplies last. You can buy as many as you want. You must already have a $30 full-entry registration to purchase add-on hands.
